Hey there, I'm so glad you've found our website! Let tell you a bit about myself, and what we do so you know "us" a little better and we're no longer strangers.
My name is Bonnie Stasser and I am a determined "creative" as the saying goes. I grew up on the shores of Lake Superior, watching my Aunt Tynne create magic with paint on canvas...she created such masterpieces with so much ease! I was three or four years old at the time, and it was watching this "magic" come to life from her hand that stirred my heart at such an early age, I've never looked back!
I truly believe in my heart of hearts that Art, in all its forms, can breathe life into a soul that is searching, it can stir someone so deeply that they begin to ask questions... about themselves, about others, and about their purpose while they are here. It is this passion that directs my choices in what I do, which has been a long list so far, everything from drawing, pen and ink, sculpture, oil painting, acrylic paintings to photography. And dare I say, I am far from done. Artwork in all its forms is a vital part of life, for everyone, at least I think it is...
I have long moved away from the northern lights, the long lonely calls of the Loones across the water, and believe it or not, have found my home, the destination that I was born to live, out on the high plains. Culture shock? For sure! But I would do it all again in a heartbeat! Now instead of watching the Northern Lights all night long, I have the joy of watching the massive and ever changing storm clouds dance across the sky, the joy of seeing new born foals in the spring, and saying good morning to the love of my life, and the sexiest cowboy I know, my partner in crime and my dear husband. He is truly the half that makes me whole. Together we create, we farm, we ranch, and we dream. And what you will see develop here on the pages of Stasser Galleries... well, this is part of our life together, as well as some of what I have brought with me, that part that started with Aunt Tynne... and I pray it never gets old.
Now what about you? Share your story with us and tell us where love, life and art fit into your days, we'd love to hear from you!
Until then, may God bless your richly!
Bonnie
